AIEEE2009 Counselling Fully Automated

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

ADMISSIONS TO all the 20 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), five Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and 11 Central and State Funded Universities and 19 Self Financed Institutes are being made through CCB based on the AIEEE-2009 Ranks.

The admission process has been made completely online for the convenience of the students and their parents. In this procedure, candidates can exercise their choices for branches and institutes online using Internet from places of their convenience. The CCB along with NIC, New Delhi has developed the required procedure and software.

In the new procedure, all the candidates declared eligible for central counseling by the CBSE based on the AIEEE 2009 Ranks will have to register online during June 8 to 28, 2009. Candidates have to verify their personnel credentials, such as Category, Sub category, State of Eligibility, Gender and address for communication, etc. Provision has been made in the software to modify these details.

After registration, the software will generate options for different branches and institutes based on the eligibility of the candidate. The candidate can give as many numbers of options as he/she is eligible.

During June 8 to 24, 2009 Indicative Seat Allotment will be shown. This will facilitate the candidate to choose the branch and institute at his/her rank. During June 8 to 28, 2009 all the candidates have to lock their choices. Before locking of choices, the candidates can change their options any number of times, but after locking the choices cannot be changed.

The system would automatically allot the seat merit wise based on the preferences given by the candidate. The allotment results will be displayed on the ccb.nic.in. Individual allotment letters will not be sent to the candidates. Candidates would have to download the allotment details.

Certificate verification:

All the successful candidates, who will get seat allotment will be required to report to any of the admission centres which has been managed to be at least one in every state especially all the NITs and also some other centralised institutes.
the candidates allotted seats only need to go there. Only online fill up of the choices need to be made from the confines of home for the privilleged ones and from CYBER-CAFE for the other that is the majority Indian contingents..
