IITT was chartered in 1997 by Mrs. Rama Sinha, Ex Indian Institute of Technology with clear mission to pursue excellence in all fields of Technical education and to adhere to the highest standards of academic rigour in all its work. .

IITT has grown tremendously during the last decade and is fast moving towards attaining leadership position in North India which speaks volume about our enduring commitment, outstanding faculty and rich learning environment.

Right now, our campuses are in the state of Himachal Pradesh & Punjab , but students are coming from all parts of India such as Punjab, Himachal , Chandigarh , Haryana & Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh etc. to be part of the IITT family.

Placements in major corporations have become hallmark of the education at IITT. Our students have been placed in organizations such as Infosys, WIPRO, CQU Australia, Ericsson, Exinex, Sapient, Airtel, Reliance etc.

IITT does this by educating individuals for fulfilling, productive lives and by creating solutions to pressing or anticipated problems through research. IITT is both a repository for accumulated knowledge and experience and a testing ground for critically examining received wisdom, where groundbreaking research is conducted in a wide variety of fields and across disciplines. The Department headed by Professor & HOD supported by 2 Asst. Professors & number of lecturers in each IITT College of Engineering.

The Computer Centers are equipped with HP XEON 2450 Dual Processor Advanced Servers and 600 workstations. A Local Area Network is already in operation in the Campuses. We have 600 latest Pentium based systems in various Labs along with various array of state of art of CAD systems, Plotters, Scanners, EDS Softwares and scores of fast printers and Peripherals. This is supported by a 100% back up by state of art DELTA online UPS systems.

IITT owned VSAT EARTH STATIONS with direct satelite connectivity and international bandwidth of 256 kbps extendable 2 Mbps are available at both IITT Campuses.
